Warranty Information

At Renewed, we stand behind the quality of every product we stock. To give you total peace of mind, every device includes a warranty, the length of which is specified in the product description and starts from your purchase date. This covers any hardware failures and strictly excludes software, user error, accidental / liquid damage or battery life / capacity. If something goes wrong within the scope of your warranty, we will repair or replace the faulty equipment at no cost to you. 

Our warranty ensures that the supplied product is free from any material defect in its own material or workmanship, and does not cover defects that were specified in the product description (if any).

Warranty Terms

To keep your coverage active, please ensure the following:

  • Proper Use: Avoid overclocking, exposure to liquids/dust/debris and ensure you take care of your device physically. 
  • Original State: Do not make modifications that could impact the system's stability or reliability. We can only warranty the device as it was configured and supplied to you as per the product description.
  • Proof of Purchase: Keep your invoice or order number handy so we can verify your details quickly.

What Isn't Covered

While we cover standard hardware failures, there are a few exceptions:

  • Unintended Use: This warranty does not cover PCs used for crypto mining, rendering farms, overclocking, or other non-standard heavy industrial use.
  • Accidental Damage: Issues caused by liquid spills, physical drops, or user-inflicted damage during modifications are not covered. Your warranty does not cover for any drop or impact damage, spills, physical damages to screens/charging ports etc, you would need to claim this under your insurance.
  • Third-Party Techs: We do not reimburse costs if you choose to pay an outside technician to look at or "fix" the computer.
  • Software and Integration: We aren't responsible for faults caused by third-party software or when our hardware is integrated into other systems.
  • Change of Mind: We do not offer refund/exchange based on change of mind, it is important to fully understand the product as its described on our website before purchase.

The Fine Print

Renewed reserves the right to inspect any system to confirm the cause of a fault. If a return is found to have no hardware fault or the damage is not covered by warranty, return shipping costs and a minimum inspection fee of $49 will apply. Our liability is limited to the original purchase price of the product, and we are not responsible for data loss or indirect business costs.

Consumables (Ink, Battery, Bulbs etc), Data, Software, Virus Infections, Updates or Ongoing support and Compatibility is the responsibility of the end-user and is not covered by warranty. Using a product in a way it is not designed for will void your warranty.

This warranty is Return to Base which means the customer must pay all shipping and handling charges to return the device for Warranty inspection. The device must be couriered back to Renewed for inspection with sufficient packaging and appropriate identification.

Inspection and repair of any device may take time due to factors outside our control such as part availability or intermittent issues that require significant technician time to test. We endeavour to have all inspections completed within 7 working days, however repair or replacement time can take longer if parts are required.
